History

How Valley of Flowers was shaped

This alpine valley was mapped for modern travellers after Frank Smythe’s 1931 expedition. It is now a national park and a monsoon pilgrimage of wildflowers on the way to Hemkund.

Why go

What draws people here

Come if you want a walk, not a viewpoint drive. The colour is seasonal and the trail is the point.
